In 1879, my Great-grandfather, J.M. Posey founded the J.M. Posey & Sons Funeral Homes and began serving families in the Aiken-Augusta area.

In 1972, during my sophomore year in high school, I began working at the funeral homes to complete my desire to continue the family tradition of becoming a funeral director.

Four years later, I entered the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and graduated with honors in 1977.

My dream to own my own funeral home was realized in 1988 when Hatcher Funeral Home opened its doors to serve the families of Aiken County.

We appreciate the support and confidence of the many families that have called on us to serve them.
