Obituary for Mr. Danny Lee Hays

Mr. Danny Lee Hays, 64, of Warrenville, SC, beloved husband and best friend of Claudia Ann White Hays, entered into rest in the comfort of his home on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

Born in Lafayette, LA, a son of Barbara Broussard Landry and Richard Dale Landry, he had been a resident of the CSRA for forty years. A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Navy. Danny Hays was the true example of a public servant. He served in Emergency Medical Service for over thirty years. Prior to his health declining, he was serving as a Paramedic with McCormick County EMS. Danny enjoyed fishing, being with his family, especially his grands, cooking and also being with his EMS family.

In addition to his parents and wife, family members include his children, Christina Lee Hays, Barnwell, SC, Stefan James Howell, Ft. Bragg, NC and Megan Ariana DeHayes and her husband, Kyle, Graniteville, SC; siblings and their spouses, Liz and Raymond Ancelet, Edie and Ronnie Ancelet, Michelle and Wayne Angelle and Ricky and Selena Landry, all of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Alexis Hays, Landon Cockrell, Maddox Howell, Kaine DeHayes, Cayden Hays and Khloe DeHayes, who is due to arrive in September and a great-grandchild, Kacelyn Hays.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at 6 o’clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway Graniteville, SC. Pastor Howard Burgess will officiate.    

The family respectfully requests that social distancing be observed and masks be worn. 

If so desired, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
