Obituary for Mrs. Helen Marie Merriett Bennett

Mrs. Helen Marie Merriett Bennett, 87, of Graniteville, SC, entered into rest on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Born in Hattiesburg, MS and a resident of Aiken County, SC, since 1953, she was a daughter of the late Will Mason and Pearl Coffee. She was a Homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Miss Helen enjoyed fishing, flowers and was an excellent cook. In addition to her parents, family members include children, S.N. Merriett, Jr, Wagener, SC, Harold E. Merriett, Graniteville, SC and Michael E. Merriett and his wife, Kaye, North Augusta, SC; grandchildren, Kristy Hayslip, David Merriett, Jennifer McMillian, Joni Snellings and Phillip Merriett and great-grandchildren, Emilie Hayes, Kailyn Coffey, Jaden Coffey, Addyson Snellings, Alyssa Snellings and Rosalind Merriett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Stephen Nathaniel Merriett, Sr. and Laurie H. Bennett, Jr and a son, Randy L. Merriett.The family will greet friends on Friday, April 12, 2019, from 1 until 3 o’clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Graveside service will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Phillip Merriett, David Merriett, Eric Snellings, Bill McMillian, Mike Hayslip and Tracy Faglier.It has been requested that memorials be made to the Music Ministry at Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene.
