Obituary for Mr. O.R. "Randy" Reese

Mr. O.R. “Randy” Reese, 81, of Belvedere, SC, beloved husband of twenty-seven years to Mrs. Brenda Anderson Reese, entered into rest on Monday, December 3, 2018, in the comfort of his home. Born in South Hill, VA and a resident of the CSRA most of his life, he was a son of the late Joseph O. and Mattie Barnette Reese. A Korea War Veteran, he proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Army. He was formerly an Accountant Representative with Consolidated Freight. He gave his heart to Jesus in 1990 and was baptized by his friend, the late Rev. Ken Garvin. Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, a round of golf, baseball and according to Brenda, was a great dancer. In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Scott Reese and his wife, Kim, Nicole Barnes and Marnie Bolt, step-sons, Vaughn Robinson and Martin Robinson, siblings, Nora Hoyle, Thelma Wood, Alma Baird, Carolyn Holland, Kathy Weinstein, Rick Reese, E.B. Reese, the late Jenny Tharpe and the late Bernard “Buck” Reese, grandchildren, Patrick Reese and his wife, Lauren, Jordan Barnes, Jennifer Reese and Madyson Barnes and a great-grandson, Karter.   The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 8, 2018, beginning at 10 o’clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11 o’clock in the chapel.    It has been suggested that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. (www.woundedwarriorproject.org)
